Add it as an accent to a container or maybe to a drawer. Does the mirror need some extra shine to it? This is the perfect opportunity to spruce it up. Cut pewter in long strips, secure onto the scallop texture plate and trace the design onto the pewter using a finger or paper stump. Generally, a better imprint of the scallop design will be achieved when a paper stump is used. Refine the design, using a stylus. Next, lift the pewter and move either the pewter or the scallop texture plate, lining up, or connecting the new starting point with the endpoint of the previous segment. Repeat until all the strips are complete to frame the mirror. Finally, after the backfilling and blackening process is completed, the strips can adhere to the mirror. Blackening can be achieved by either using patina or a water-based permanent marker. Ordinarily, Sookwang adhesive sheets can be used to adhere pewter to mirrors. In this case, because it is a bathroom, consider using waterproof glue because of the steam and water splatter.
