Where or How to Use the Herringbone Decorative Wheel

The Herringbone Decorative Wheel can be used to create complete designs in metal embossing. For instance, divide a square in half. Using the herringbone decorative wheel create herringbone lines in one direction in the first half of the square. Chang direction and continue to create herringbone lines in the second half of the square. Furthermore, elevate the design by alternating the herringbone wheel with the herringbone wheel that has a gap down the center of the herringbone design. To add extra interest to the design, use one of the dotted wheels down the gap of the herringbone design gap. Lastly, alternate the dots in the gap by using the dotted wheel on the front of the pewter or metal in some of the gaps and on the back of the pewter or metal on others.
MercArt decorative wheels can also be used on paper or other porous surfaces. Use the wheels with stamp pad ink or acrylic paint. The texture wheels can also be used to create textures and designs on polymer clay as well as air-dry clay. Always clean and dry the decorative wheels when using them with mediums other than pewter or metal.
