Sprucing Up Your Tissue Box with a Cover

How do you make a tissue box look good? During this workshop, you will use two different art and craft techniques to spruce up your tissue box cover. The cover is a paper mache tissue box cover blank or substrate. To begin with, you will decoupage the outside and then add metal embossing accents to take it to the next level.
The decoupage tissue box cover – you will use napkins and Mod Podge as decoupage mediums. A variety of napkins will be available to choose from; however, you are more than welcome to bring your napkins if you have a specific design or color in mind. Two napkins should be sufficient, but it is always good to get an extra one or two for incidentals.
By the way, you can use double or triple-ply napkins for the decoupage tissue box cover, as you will remove the extra layers of the napkins and only use the top layer. Subsequently, this can be the end of your DIY tissue box cover, or you can add something else to spruce up your tissue box cover.
In the meantime, with the Mod Podge drying, you will move on to the next step, which brings us to the metal embossing craft ideas. By the way, if you choose the evening workshop, you will return the following week to do your metal embossing and then complete your cover.
There will be a variety of designs to choose from for the metal embossing craft ideas. Please keep in mind the width or height of the design needs to fit on a two-inch-wide pewter strip. Furthermore, the cover sides are five inches, so keep that in mind. Again, you can bring your design to wrap around the bottom of the decoupage tissue box cover.
You will work on a complimentary design for the opening on top of the cover. Lastly, after patina or blackening, you will adhere all the pewter art to the decoupage tissue box cover, using Sookwang double-sided adhesive. And this is the answer to how do you make a tissue box look good?
