Metal Embossing Tools
The Ones You Need and More
Please browse through our metal embossing tools and explore the essential or basic tools. You will also find some “nice to have” tools to help you on your metal embossing journey. These nice-to-have tools can add comfort to your embossing life.
A good starting point is the MercArt basic metal embossing tool set with 8 double-sided tools. Add the mat set for metal embossing and some paper stumps, and you are set. Or, look at our beginner set with everything you need to start. Another fundamental choice will be the Sookwang Scor-Pal double-sided adhesive tape sheets. You will need some glue to adhere your embossed pewter to a substrate. Sookwang tape is less messy to use than glue; however, some projects might be better suited for glue.
Then there’s the nice of having tools that can make our life easier. Need to cut out some intricate designs? Our MercArt dry needle cutter is the ideal tool for the job. Want to cover some scratch marks or some imperfections on the background? The brass brush will be perfect, and you will have a soft satin finish to your metal. Use the ball and cup metal embossing tool to make perfect little balls or half spheres. Play around with the ball and cup tool and see which designs you can come up with. Our tools have you covered, from other mark-making tools like Teflon tip tools to water-based markers for faux patina.
